Connect a SinoTrack ST-90x tracker

SinoTrack’s ST-90x series (ST-901, ST-905, ST-906 and siblings) are compact wired trackers with their own numeric command dialect. In the Bug-X app, pick the protocol “SinoTrack / MiCODUS / H02”. The single biggest gotcha: the factory password is 0000 — four digits, not the six-digit 123456 other trackers use. Get that right and the rest is straightforward.

What you need

• A SIM card with mobile data and SMS enabled, with credit loaded

• Your carrier’s APN name

• The tracker wired to power with a GPS fix — take the bike outside

• The Bug-X Ebike app installed and signed in

Step 1 — Set the APN

Set the APN first using the APN command from your ST-90x manual with your carrier’s APN name. No APN, no internet — the tracker will answer SMS but never report a position. Wait for the confirmation reply.

Step 2 — Send the 804 server command

The password is glued straight onto the 804 with no space, then the host and port from the tracker-setup page separated by spaces. The app composes this SMS for you during guided registration — check that the password field reads 0000 unless you changed it.

Step 3 — Read the RCONF reply

Text RCONF to the tracker. A healthy reply looks like AU08,ID:<imei>,IP:<ip:port>,... — if the IP and port in it match the Bug-X server values, the tracker is talking to the right place. Give it a few minutes outdoors, then check My Bikes in the app.

If nothing appears

• Silence after the 804: you almost certainly used the wrong password — 0000, four digits, glued on with no space

• RCONF shows the wrong server: resend the 804 with host and port copied fresh from the tracker-setup page
