How It All Started
FROM BACKYARD DREAMS TO CITY WIDE IMPACT
Bug-X Labs began in 2023 when three engineering graduates became frustrated with the state of transportation in Nigeria's urban centers.
Muazu, Abdulmajid and Sulaiman were surrounded by the heightened cost of transportation, congestion, pollution, and limited mobility options. They envisioned a solution that would be sustainable, efficient, and tailored to African urban environments.
Today, Bug-X Labs has grown into a bold electric mobility solutions company, but we've kept the scrappy innovation spirit that defined our origins.

From Design to Delivery
HOW WE BUILD IT
Bug-X e-bikes aren't rebranded imports. Every unit is engineered, assembled, wired, and quality-tested by our own team before it reaches you.
Design & Engineering
Every Bug-X model is spec’d and engineered in-house before a single component is ordered — frame geometry, motor placement, and battery layout are our own design work.
Component Sourcing
Frames, motors, battery cells, and BMS units are sourced from vetted suppliers against our own engineering spec — the same components that go into e-bikes worldwide.
In-House Assembly & Wiring
Every unit is assembled, wired, and BMS-integrated by our own team — this is the step that turns sourced parts into a finished Bug-X e-bike.
Calibration & Quality Testing
Range, braking, BMS cell-balance, and waterproofing are checked on every single unit before it’s cleared to ship — not sampled, every one.
Delivery & Support
Your bike arrives ready to ride, backed by our team for service, repairs, and support for as long as you own it.
100% of assembly, wiring, calibration, and quality testing happens in-house in Nigeria — every Bug-X bike, before it ships. Not dropshipped, not rebranded.
