Verify Your Bug-X

Genuine Bug-X e-bikes have several authentication features: a unique serial number following our format (BXYYYYMMM-XXXXXXXX), official Bug-X branding on the frame and components, a QR code on the frame linking to our website, and high-quality manufacturing. All genuine Bug-X e-bikes come with official documentation including a warranty card with matching serial numbers.

The serial number is located on the underside of the bottom bracket (where the pedals connect to the frame). You'll also find it on your warranty card, purchase receipt, and in the Bug-X mobile app if you've registered your e-bike.

If your verification result indicates a counterfeit, we recommend: 1) Contact the seller immediately and request a refund, 2) Report the seller to consumer protection authorities, 3) Contact our support team with details of where you purchased the e-bike to help us combat counterfeiting. Unfortunately, counterfeit products don't carry our warranty and may pose safety risks.

There are several possible reasons: 1) The e-bike may be very recently manufactured and not yet registered in our system, 2) There could be a typographical error in your entry, 3) In rare cases, there might be a system synchronization delay. If you believe your e-bike is genuine despite the result, please contact our support team with proof of purchase.

While we don't disclose exact statistics, our brand protection team actively monitors global markets for counterfeit products. The most common counterfeits attempt to mimic our premium models. We regularly work with customs and law enforcement to stop counterfeit operations.
